Villa Skeppet (1969-1970) belongs to the Christine and Göran Schildt Foundation, which arranges guided tours in the home. The tour showcases an author’s residence, Alvar Aalto’s architecture, and a warm Mediterranean atmosphere. Göran Schildt and Alvar Aalto were good friends who shared a love for the Mediterranean cultures, landscapes, and civilizations.

On Saturday 12.9. 11-14 we are arranging a Children’s Day at Villa Skeppet.
During Children’s Day, children will explore Villa Skeppet in a playful way and create their own connection to the place and its stories. We want to make Villa Skeppet accessible to a younger audience and spark curiosity about architecture, history and cultural heritage.
During the day, you can, for example, search for hidden letters in the garden, explore Villa Skeppet and complete different tasks. The programme takes place both indoors and in the garden.
The programme is best suited for children aged 7–12. Younger children are also welcome to participate together with an adult.
The event is organized in collaboration with the Alvar Aalto Route and is part of the European Heritage Days.
