Idag förvaltas Villa Skeppet av Christine och Göran Schildts stiftelse som ordnar guidade turer i hemmet. Under guidningen får besökaren ta del av ett författarhem, Alvar Aaltos arkitektur och Medelhavets stämningar. Göran Schildt och Alvar Aalto var goda vänner och kärleken till Medelhavets kulturer, landskap och civilisationer band dem samman.

Alvar Aalto
Göran Schildt lärde känna Alvar Aalto redan under sina studieår. Alvar Aalto var då ordförande i filmklubben Projektio som Schildt också anslöt sig till. De knöt dock inte några starkare kontakter i detta skede. De var först flera år senare, närmare bestämt 1953.

Over the past two weeks, we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming school groups from all over Raseborg to Villa Skeppet. As part of the city’s plan for cultural education, all seventh-grade students in Raseborg take part in these visits.
During their visit, they explored the house through a guided tour and took part in a sketching task, capturing a detail or view they loved and sketching it on a sheet of paper.
