EKENÄS DIALOG: NATURE MEETS HUMAN

EKENÄS DIALOG: NATURE MEETS HUMAN

Experience a unique Finnish-German cultural festival by the sea where invited experts, authors, architects, and social influencers come together. With bestselling authors from Finland and Germany, EKENÄS DIALOG aims to inspire and offer new perspectives. The festival is aimed at all who appreciate literature and international cultural exchange.

The festival’s theme is NATURE MEETS HUMAN. Nature is an elemental power. Humans are a continually growing power. How can we complement each other and shape a better future together? These questions will guide us throughout the festival, and we aim to promote an open dialogue in a personal atmosphere.

The festival is inspired by the author and artist residency SATAMA HOUSE, located in the center of Ekenäs. The residency is run by Annette Brüggemann (literary agent) and Damian Franzen (doctor) and has welcomed guests from around the world since 2019.

This is the second time Villa Skeppet collaborates with Annette Brüggemann and Satama House. Our goal is to further establish Villa Skeppet as a home for writers both in Finland and internationally. Villa Skeppet has also received the Good Travel Seal and Sustainable Travel Finland certifications. Through this festival, we have a great opportunity to highlight important sustainability aspects.
