The Finnish-Swedish author Göran Schildt had a lifelong fascination with the Mediterranean. This passion connected him with the architect Alvar Aalto, who shared his love for sailing and designed Schildt’s Finnish home. Cultural historian Henrik Knif, whose biography Göran Schildt – Two Lives is a cornerstone of Schildt research, and Jennifer Dahlbäck from the Schildt foundation shed light on Göran Schildt’s literary and cosmopolitan legacy.
