As part of the Dark Weekend in Raseborg and Hanko, Villa Skeppet in Ekenäs will open its doors to the public. On Saturday, 24 October, from 11 am to 3 pm, visitors can explore the house at their own pace, without a guided tour.
Alvar Aalto designed Villa Skeppet as a home for writer Göran Schildt and his wife Christine. Completed in 1970, the house is an example of Aalto’s later architecture, where light, materials and nature are closely connected to everyday life.
During the open house, visitors can take a closer look at the architecture, interiors and details of the former home.
Free admission! Please be prepared to wait for your turn.
