Henrik Meinander is one of Finland’s most important historians, a Swedish-speaking professor at the University of Helsinki and a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. In his books, he sheds light on Finland’s development in fascinating contexts. Together with the German philosopher and bestselling author Wolfram Eilenberger, he looks at the historical roots of the young Nordic democracy, Finland’s accession to NATO in 2023 and its dream for the future.
